Thoughts:

Kowas are a go-to for anamorphic look. They are vintage but still display great skin ton rendition and not as many aberrations as a Lomo Anamorphic, Cineovision or the Cooke S2 Anamorphic. I wish I had been able to shoot narrative with this lenses in order to explore flaring inside a controlled environment. Although I am a sucker for the Cineovisions and their lack of resolution, rendering blurry skins, crazy hard light fall off and focus only on the center, I have to admit that they are not the most versatile choice (or the lightest). The Kowas offer a cleaner look, with beautiful multi-colored flaring and not as much vignetting as other vintage lenses.
